Permission to Develop Reservations in Parts
Background
As per the notification dated 2nd May 2017, reservations under recreational and educational were not allowed to be developed partly. The current notification is proposed to delete this condition that these reservations under reference cannot be developed partly.
Intent
- In public interest, basis representations from the MCGM, it was found necessary to carry out the suitable modifications to relax the conditions on the development of reservations.
Content
- Reservations under recreational (open reservations), educational (primary schools, high schools, colleges) are proposed to be allowed to be developed partly against the earlier provisions where part development of these reservations was not allowed.
- Now, the available in Situ FSI/TDR as per this regulation can be used on the remaining portion of the plot without any cap. The earlier conditions that ‘no relaxation in side margin shall be permissible’, has now been omitted.
Open Questions
- It is assumed that the degree of relaxation allowed in the side margin shall be reviewed and approved at the level of the Municipal Commissioner in line with other concessions.
